If you get the error message “Adobe license is expired or not activated”. It is very likely Adobe Acrobat is not running or you are not signed in.

Go to the search bar in the bottom left corner and search for Adobe Acrobat DC. Click to launch.

If this doesn’t appear, contact I.T to install for you.

Sign in using your Adobe account. I.T should have created an account for you.

Note this password is different from your Department of Education password.

If you do not know the password, select forgot password and change it via your department email account.

If you do not receive a password reset email, please contact I.T to create an account for you.

To check you are properly signed in, click the blue circle in the top left and you should see your email account.

Alternatively click on “Help” in the top left, and you should see your email address next to sign out.

If you are still having problems, restart your PC and try again.

If restarting does not resolve your problems, you may have some hidden files on your computer preventing Adobe from working correctly.

Close all adobe products e.g. Creative cloud, Acrobat DC. Also close all Microsoft office products e.g. Outlook and Word.

Go to This PC by clicking the start menu -> This PC, or press Windows key + e.

Double click to enter your (C:) drive, usually labelled OSDisk.

Open the "Users" folder.

Open the folder that is labelled with your E-Number

Click on the View tab in the top left, and ensure the Hidden Items checkbox has been ticked. A folder called "AppData" should appear.

Right click on the folder and Delete it.

Try to reopen Creative cloud, Acrobat and Office. Once signed in try to append an email.

If this doesn't work restart your machine, and try one more time.

Contact I.T if problems persist.
