• In the search bar, type “Default Apps”.


  • To change the most common apps, e.g. Web browser, video player or email. Simply click the program e.g. “Internet explorer” and set it to “Google Chrome”. If there are no options in “Choose an app”, it’s likely that the programs are not installed.


If the app isn’t listed here, you will have to choose default apps by file type.

This is how you would change your PDF reader from your web browser to Adobe Acrobat.


To change your PDF reader to Adobe Acrobat, you must manually scroll down to “.pdf” and change it to Adobe Acrobat DC.



It should now open all PDFs with Adobe Acrobat!


Note: For a one time only fix. You can find the file on your computer, right click and select "open with.." and choose the app you want.
