First thing to try is to ask I.T member or admin staff to unlock you with DAM.. and ensure your password hasn't expired. if issue persists see below.
If you cannot connect to the Wi-Fi or keep getting locked out, please follow the steps below:
Firstly please ensure your date/time settings are correct, as due to security protocols, you won't be able to connect to the Wi-Fi.
Ensure you type your password correctly.
Ensure your password works on a desktop computer.
If it does not, please contact any member of staff to reset your password.
If the password works on a desktop computer but not your laptop, you may need to clear your known networks to remove any expired or faulting credentials.
To do so, follow the steps below:
- Click the network symbol in the bottom right of your screen in the task-bar.
- Select “Network and internet settings”.
- Select “Wi-Fi” on the left of your screen.
- Select “Manage known networks”
- Select the wireless network you want to connect to e.g. “WIRELESS 2.4” or “WIRELESS 5” -> click on”Forget”.
- Restart the computer to finalise the process
- Attempt to login using your password.
In addition to Wi-Fi credentials locking you out, it may be shared drives or printers using your old password. Open Credential Manager by typing it into the search bar.
Navigate over to Windows Credentials,
Click the drop down arrow on any printers or shared drives, usually these will have a path such as e4179s01sv001, e4179s01sv006 or e4179s01sv015v5 and remove all of the previously stored credentials.
